Ruble becomes official currency of Crimea

The Crimean State Council has adopted the Russian ruble as the official currency of the republic. Ukraine’s hryvnia will remain the official currency until January 1, 2016.96.77% of voters in Crimea voted to join Russia yesterday. The autonomy has become independent today.
