Iran plans to replace all gasoline with biodiesel fuel, according to the memorandum the country signed with the UNDP, Iran.ru reports.
Production of biodiesel fuel from edible oil will start by 2017, said UNDP Deputy Director Morale.
Amir Jafarpur, Deputy Head of the Staff for Administration of Transportation and Fuel Consumption, said that Iran had started producing additives for biodiesel fuel. Buses will be the first transportation means to start using the new fuel.
