The Russian ruble has become the official currency of Crimea. Hryvnia’s are still usable but the republic will gradually switch to rubles, said President of the Bank of Crimea Nikolai Barilyuk, Interfax reports.
Salaries, pensions and scholarships will be paid in rubles.
