Georgian Energy Minister Kakha Kalandze said at the 13th International Oil, Gas, Infrastructure and Energy Conference that energy markets were often subject to political influence causing geopolitical instability, Trend reports.
He reminded that the demand for energy resources was growing every day and provoked rise of prices. In such context, the minister sees necessity in cooperation to enforce energy security.
Kaladze called Georgia a reliable energy partner and noted that it valued construction of the Southern Gas Corridor, a priority goal of the EU energy strategy.
