Medvedev promises to make Crimea accessible

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev promises that vacationing in Crimea will become more accessible and attractive to citizens.

"The government will take measures to make Crimean vacations more affordable and more attractive. I am sure that many will re-discover a clean sea, the unique nature and hospitality of Crimeans," Medvedev wrote on his Facebook page under the photo of the Swallow's Nest, Interfax reports.

Dmitry Medvedev, who is now in Crimea,  spoke with residents in Sevastopol and answered their questions about salaries, air transport and registration of property.

Dozens of Sebastopol residents, gathering at the memorial to the heroic defenders of the city, asked questions, in particular about salaries. "If you mean salaries and pensions, we will do everything, and all the documents have been signed," Medvedev said, according to RIA Novosti.

On the issue of registration of property, which is currently suspended, the Prime Minister said that the government will try to solve organizational issues related to the registry in a couple of months.

"As for registration, we have just dealt with this today. We have several ministries involved in this problem. The document will be issued soon, and the re-registration of all real estate according to Russian rules will start. Everything will be done, do not worry. We will manage this, I think, in a couple of months," Medvedev said.

Local residents were also interested in whether air traffic will increase. The Prime Minister said that the number of flights will increase, and fares should be  comparable to, or even lower than, the fares for a trip to Turkey, "so that people will come to Crimea on vacation."

"We will try to sell tickets as cheaply as possible, when it comes to Moscow and other big cities. Naturally, we will deal with train and ferry transfers, and will build a bridge ... It has been decided for sure to build a bridge," Medvedev declared.
