IranianMinister of Transport Hamid Behbahani has announced the
signing of a major contact for construction of Iranian railways. The
deal is worth $20 billion, Iran.ru reports.
The construction will be completed in 2.5 years. The railroads will
link Tehran with Arak, Malayer, Hamedan, Kermanshakh and Khorsavi. The
railroad will link Iran with Syria and countries of the Mediterranean.
The sides will agree on the details of the construction on September
12th during the visit of the Iranian minister of transport to China.
