Alexey Miller, chairman of the board of Gazprom, said that the gas price for Ukraine was increased from $268.5 to $385.5 per thousand cubic meters, starting in Q2 2014, Interfax reports.
The new prices were set due to Ukraine’s gas debt of $1.711 billion. Ukraine will increase the fee for gas transit by 10%, according to the transit contract signed in 2009. Gazprom is ready to pay the new fees.
