Russia raises gas prices to $485 per thousand cubic meters for Ukraine

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has met Gazprom Head Alexey Miller today. At the meeting it was announced that the price for a thousand cubic meters of gas for Ukraine will cost $485, RIA Novosti reports.

Medvedev reminded about beneficial gas fees set for Ukraine in 2010 and the Kharkov agreements on the Black Sea Fleet. The prime minister nullified governmental decree N91 (April 30, 2010).

According to the Russian-Ukrainian gas contract of 2009, the new prices of $485 per thousand cubic meters of gas will come into force in April.
