Joe Murphy, head of the executive office of the BP vice president for safety and operation risks, will be the new BP vice president for development of the Shah Deniz Field (Azerbaijan). BP Regional President Gordon Birrell called Murphy a skilled specialist in oil and gas developments, Trend reports.
Murphy has been working for the company since 2000 and has taken part in the realization of projects in the Gulf of Mexico, Vietnam, Middle East, Egypt, North Africa.
Murphy will replace Al Cook who has become the head of the executive office of the BP Group president.
Murphy and Cook will enter their new offices in May.
