Profits from the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Sochi will be invested in the development of popular sports in Russia, the President of the Sochi-2014 Organizing Committee, Dmitry Chernyshenko said, Yuga.ru reports.
Chernyshenko said that the profits exceeded $ 1.3 billion which is three times more than had been expected. This allowed the organizers of the Games in Sochi to finance more than 80 % of their preparation activities from non-budgetary sources.
