Gaz System (Poland) will supply Ukraine with about 4 million cubic meters of gas, the maximum volume the Hermanovice can pump, RIA Novosti reports.
Poland was the first state to supply Ukraine with gas from Europe in November 2012. Gas pumping from Poland to Ukraine was stopped when Russia granted Ukraine a 30% discount for gas.
Russia set a new gas price for Ukraine in April, totaling $485 per thousand cubic meters. Ukrainian Energy Minister Yuri Prodan said that the country needed only 15 billion cubic meters of gas in 2014.
