Revenues from Azerspace-1 to reach $15m this year

It is planned that in 2014 revenues from services provided by the first telecommunications satellite of Azerbaijan Azerspace- 1 , will be $15 million, reports news.az.

This was stated by Minister of Communications and High Technologies Ali Abbasov.

According to him, in 2013, income from Azerspace- 1 amounted to $10 million “Azerspace- 1 enhances its commercial activities. New service users also appear inside the country”, Abbasov said.

The Minister also noted that this year the repayment of loans under the Azerspace- 1 project will be supported by the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan.

"The satellite will start yielding profit next year”, the minister said.
