Armenia recorded the highest growth rates of the consumer price index among CIS countries, Panorama reports, referring to the CIS statistical committee data. The inflation rate in Armenia is 7.4%.
According to the committee, Armenia is lagging behind only Ukraine, where this indicator amounted to 9.8% according to the results of the first half of this year. The lowest inflation rate (2.9%) was recorded in Kyrgyzstan, followed by Azerbaijan with 4.9%, Tajikistan 5.3%, Belarus and Russia 6.6%, Moldova 6.9% and Kazakhstan 7.1%.
