Ukrainian-Armenian Business Forum launched in Kiev

The Ukrainian-Armenian Business Forum opened today in Kiev at the Chamber of Commerce of Ukraine,  Aysor reports.

An Armenian delegation embracing 15 companies is presenting their achievements in the spheres of car engineering industry, high technology and commodities, as well as export and import trade. An agreement on cooperation between the Armenian and Ukrainian Chambers of Commerce will be signed in the framework of the forum.

According to Armenia’s National Statistics Service trade turnover between the two countries increased by 52.5% in the first half of 2010 compared to last year’s figures, reaching $96.7 million, or 5.4% of Armenia's foreign trade. The negative balance of turnover between Armenia and Ukraine increased by 56.3% in January-June this year, reaching $87.1 million.

The first Ukrainian-Armenian Business Forum was held in the Armenian capital Yerevan in 1998.
