Turkey has loaded the 2500th with oil delivered through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (BTC), Trend reports.
Over 1.9 billion barrels of oil (256 million tons) have been transported through the pipeline since June 2006.
The pipeline is 1768km long, 443km of them running through Azerbaijan, 249km through Georgia and 1,076km through Turkey. Construction of the pipeline started in April 2003. It was filled with oil on May 18, 2005. The pipeline has a capacity of 1.2 million barrels of oil a day.
