KazSat-3, the third communication satellite of Kazakhstan, has been launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome using the Proton-M carrier rocket, RIA Novosti reports.
KazSat-3 will separate from the upper stage at 5.17PM.
The rocket is also carrying the Luch-5V satellite of Russia. It is a multifunctional space broadcasting system. It will separate from the upper stage at 5.57PM. The first two Luch satellites were launched using the Proton-M carriers and Briz-M upper stages.
KazSat-3 will be used for TV broadcasting and broadband Internet connection.
