Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan will host a summit of leaders in world energy on the theme: "Energy in Transition: Opportunities and emerging risks."
The summit will be held from May 21-22, 2014 at the Palace of Independence in the framework of the Seventh Astana Economic Forum. "This is one of the central events in the industry for the international community that the World Energy Council is holding for the first time in a CIS country," Trend quotes the the press service of the KazEnergy Association.
The World Energy Council (WEC) is largest international non-governmental energy organization, established in 1923 on the initiative of energy business circles in Great Britain and in a number of industrialized countries in Europe and North America.
