Iranian Ambassador to Russia Reza Sadjadi has met the special Russian
representative for the Caspian, A. V. Golovin, Iran.ru reports.
The sides exchanged views on the 27th meeting of the working group for
development of the Convention on Legal Status of the Caspian Sea,
which will be held in Tehran in the near future.
The sides expressed hope that the meeting will be successful and noted
the well coordinated work of representatives of the five countries.
Golovin said that the Russian delegation will demonstrate high levels
of activity at the meeting and expressed hope that this year they will
hold the summit of the heads of Caspian countries in Baku.
Sadjadi noted the importance of the meeting and emphasized that the
sea is the sea of peace and friendship, and any postponing of meetings
creates a basis for the interference of non-regional states.
