Gazprom to expand gas supplies to the east

Gazprom plans to expand the supply of Russian gas to Asia, including Vietnam, South Korea, Japan and China, the head of the Board of Directors, Viktor Zubkov said.

 

The Russian President Vladimir Putin speaking at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum said that Russia will diversify gas supplies to the western and eastern areas and create a unified gas supply system.

 

Asked about the timing of such a system and supply diversification, Zubkov said: "When the actual consumer will appear, and they are appearing - China, India, maybe, South Korea, we are working with Vietnam, China, supplying to Japan."
