The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and UK’s BP have signed a deal to explore shallow waters of the Absheron Peninsula, according to Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh, SOCAR vice president for geology, geophysics and field development, Trend reports.He added that the SOCAR was planning to reconsider proposals of the company to search and explore ground oil deposits in Azerbaijan using advanced technology and equipment.
