Armenian Prime Minister Ovik Abramyan has had a telephone conversation with Maksim Sokolov, the Russian minister for transportation and co-chair of the Armenian-Russian inter-governmental commission for economic cooperation, and discussed reconstruction of the Verkhny Lars Customs Office, News Armenia reports.
Abramyan said that the sides need a program to improve the infrastructure of the office and expand roads with the highest avalanche risks. Sokolov responded that a working group will be formed to carry out research next month.
Verkhny Lars is located on the Russian-Georgian border. It is the only land route from Armenia to Russia.
