Kenya to export tea to Kazakhstan

 

Kenya intends to directly export its tea to Kazakhstan. The remarks were made during the meeting of Kazakhstan's ambassador to Egypt, Berik Aryn with Kenya's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Amina Mohamed.The meeting took place during the ambassador's visit to Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry said.During the meeting, Kenya's minister Amina Mohamed stressed that Nairobi is interested in intensifying the bilateral relations with Kazakhstan.She said that the two countries have great potential to increase the volume of the bilateral trade that exceeded $73 million in 2013, adding that one of the ways of achieving this is to start direct exports of Kenya's tea to Kazakhstan.
