Parallel to this, new asphalt covering is being laid at a number of places on the road," Novosti Gruziya quotes a statement by the ministry of regional development of the country.The Rikoti Pass was closed to vehicle traffic in the morning of Tuesday June 17 for safety after a landslide convergence on the 146th kilometer of tge Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze Highway, which completely blocked the route carriageway.The temporary ban on movement of motor transport was imposed on the pass on June 12, when there was a rockfall on the same 146th kilometer of the road.
