First ladies of Azerbaijan and Georgia realize humanitarian project for gifted children of poor families

Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Heydar Aliyev Fund and first lady
of Azerbaijan, and the first lady of Georgia, Elizabeth Ruvols,
organized visits to their countries for children without parents who
study well within a cultural program running from September 1st to
11th, Trend reports, citing the Fund.


A Georgian delegation of 20 people arrived in Baku on September 1st.
They visited Shekhid Alley and the Alley of Honour burial ground. T
hey wereintroduced to historical-cultural memorials and sites of the
city by the Heydar Aliyev Fund .


The Georgian teenagers visited Icheri shekher, the archeological and
ethnographical complexes of Gala, Gobustan museums and the Museum of
Modern Art, and met with their peers from summer camp No1. The
delegation was visiting Gabalu, Sheki and Ismailly.


The Azerbaijani delegation travelled to Tbilisi. They visited the
Azerbaijani embassy in Georgia. Georgian first lady Sandra Elizabeth
Ruvols welcomed the delegation of 20 people. The children visited the
sites of the city and museums. The teenagers visited Batumi, Gori,
Kutaisi and Likani and the ancient city of Signagi. The ancient temple
complex of Vardzia, the Batumi Botanical Garden, a zoo and a new
avenue made particular impressions on the group.
