Kazakhstan to sell grain to Georgia and Azerbaijan

Kazakhstan will sell up to 500,000 tons of wheat to Georgia, the
commercial director of 'Prodcorporatsiya,' Daulet Uvashev, said,
adding that Azerbaijan will receive a different amount of wheat,
Business Georgia reports.


Uvashev said that Kazakh wheat will be transported using various
routes, via Russian railways, ferry transport through the Caspian Sea
and from the port of Aktau to Baku and then to Georgia.


The wheat transported from Aktau to Baku will be processed in
Azerbaijani-Kazakh mills and transported to Georgia.


Georgia consumes approximately 800,000 tons of wheat annually, 15% of
which it produces itself.
