Jonathan Charles, the director of the Communications Department of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), said that the Bank had taken requests from the Council of the European Union in Brussels to freeze joint projects with Russia into account, RIA Novosti reports.
Leaders of the EU yesterday recommended the EBRD and the European Investment Bank (EIB) to freeze financing of new joint projects with Russia. The European Council ordered ambassadors to prepare a sanction list by the end of July to blacklist more individuals and companies.
