The construction of 20km of the gas pipeline (700mm) running from Gori to Kareli (West Georgia) will have been completed by October this year. The Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation (GOGC) has completed 43% of the project, Business Georgia reports.
The Gori-Kareli pipeline construction is the fourth phase of the East-West pipeline construction. USAID assists in realizing the project. The contract is worth about $3.9 million. AHM ENERGY GAS HEATING SYSTEMS CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY (Turkey) is realizing the project.
A 23-km section of the Zestafoni-Kutaisi pipeline (700mm) is under construction by Sakmilsadenmsheni. The project is worth about $4.5 million. It will have been completed by October 2014.
