The Aras free economic zone has been given permission to start selling land to foreign companies, according to the zone’s director Mohsen Khadem Arabbagi, Iran.ru reports.
Iranian free economic zones have all the necessary infrastructure, their developments will be going at a faster pace. The director noted that CIS countries near the Aras zone are the best markets for products produced there. He added that differences between Russia and America gave Iran additional opportunities on the Russian market.
The Aras free economic zone is located in East Azerbaijan Province. It has borders with Armenia, Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
