Alisher Usmanov, the co-owner of Metalloinvest and Mail.ru Group, the 46th richest man in the world, has spent $194 million on charity, becoming the most generous Russian businessman of 2013, Bloomberg reports.His donations increased by 25.9%, compared with the volume in 2012. He is ahead of Andrey Skoch, the head of the Pokoleniye Fund and co-owner of Metalloinvest, and Suleiman Kerimov, owner of a share in Polyus Gold. Skoch and Kerimov donated $66 million and $62 million respectively.12 out of 25 Russian businessman questioned in 2013 agreed to tell about their charity contributions. They donated a total of $548 million, exceeding the previous year’s volume by 12%.Roman Abramovich, owner of Chelsea, donated $111 million in 2012 but refused to tell about his donations in 2013. Abramovich’s spokesman John Man said that the oligarch did not want to take part in such ratings and considered the charity private business.
