The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has been given license to search and evaluate hydrocarbon reserves in the Severo-Bushkulsky Field of the Narimanovsky District (Astrakhan Oblast), Astrakhan 24 reports.The process will be organized by SOCAR’s subsidiary SOCAR RUS. LUKOIL subsidiary RITEK operates on the Beshkulskoye Oil Field south of the SOCAR RUS’ field. The Astrakhan Gas Condensate Field is located north-east of it.The Astrakhan Oblast has 4.7 trillion cubic meters of gas reserves and 1.037 billion tons of liquid hydrocarbon reserves.
