The Alov optical factory of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has started production of thermal cameras, according to an announcement by the factory’s Director General Kyamal Askerov today, Trend reports.
Turkey’s ASELSAN will assist in manufacturing the thermal systems. It has already helped Azerbaijan create night-vision scopes with a 4-6x zoom. Law enforcers are the main purchasers of the optical products.
Alov and ASELSAN signed a protocol of intentions to manufacture new products at the ADEX-2014 exhibition, held in Baku last week.
