EU may remove Kazakhstani airlines from blacklist

The European Commission may remove Kazakhstani airlines from the blacklist and allow them to make flights to Europe, it was stated at the Kazakhstani Ministry for Investments and Development today, Trend reports.

Kazakhstani airlines, except Air Astana, have been on the blacklist since April 2014. The ICAO found problems with plane certification.

Kazakhstan and the EU plan to rectify the problem in 2015. 13 out of 18 airports have had their runways reconstructed. One runway at Uralsk Airport will be reconstructed this year.
