The Razdan Cement Factory has been shutdown. It was relaunched two months ago, only to become idle on November 15. Its workers have not been paid since July. Half of their salaries may be paid in cement, Epress.am reports.
The factory got a new owner in July. Businessman Mikhail Bagdasarov sold it to ex-Deputy Defense Minister Gagik Melkonyan. The latter called himself a mediator and said that the factory had been bought by his Moscow friends. Zhokhovurd reported in August that the deal had not been made.
