The Russian Cabinet has released a large list of decisions for development of industry in the North Caucasian Federal District and import displacement. The list was made after a session of the governmental commission in Nalchik. It includes development of state guarantees for investment projects. A working group was formed to control industrial development in the North Caucasus, Vice Prime Minister Alexander Khloponin will receive reports of the group.
Gidrometallurg (tungsten oxide), Pobedit (cutting elements from hard alloys), Terekalmaz (diamond instruments), Dagdiesel and other military facilities will focus on import displacement. The Defense Ministry, the Ministry for Industry and Trade and Rostekh will increase the volume of defense purchases to keep North Caucasus defense industry occupied.
