ADB to grant Tbilisi $108 million for plumbing reconstruction

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has agreed today to grant Tbilisi $108 million for reconstruction of city plumbing. The loan was granted within the framework of a multi-tranche financial instrument worth $500 million for plumbing reconstruction in Zugdidi and Poti and informing the population about sanitary and hygiene norms. The ADB has already approved three tranches worth $218 million, Trend reports.


ADB Director in Georgia Kate Julian noted that plumbing was a priority of the government. Investment of $1.6 billion by 2020 will help maintain reliable and high-quality water supply.
