Turkish PM calls TANAP an energy Silk Road

 

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has called the Trans-Anatolia Pipeline (TANAP) an energy Silk Road of Azerbaijan and Turkey. He added that TANAP was one of the most successful projects in the region, Trend reports.TANAP is worth $10-11 billion. It will be launched in 2018. Turkish companies Mannesmann-Noksel-Erciyas, Ümran-Emek, Tosçelik Profil ve Sac Endüstrisi and Chinese contractor Baosteel Europe signed the contract to supply pipes for the project in Ankara on October 14.
