The Armenian in spection chamber will inspect some Russian enterprises
in Armenia next year, chairman of the chamber Ishkhan Zakaryan said.
An agreement will be signed between the inspection chambers of Russia
and Armenia, he said today, Armenia Today reports.
There will be inspections of the VTB Bank, its sister bank,
ArmRosgazprom (Armenian-Russian joint venture, monopolist in gas
supplies to Armenia). The chamber will also consider the property
management of the Russian military base in Armenia.
The head of the Russian Accounts Chamber Sergey Stepashin noted that
they plan to sign an agreement on joint work with Armenia in 2012,
which includes inspection actions. He said that the actions include
trade-economic agreements, signed by the presidents of Armenia and
Russia, involving the maintenance of the Russian military base in
Armenia, and hydro energy.
Stepashin emphasized that there will be 4 inspections by 2012.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev visited Armenia in August 19-21. He
signed a protocol on adjustments to the bilateral agreement for the
Russian military base in Giumri, which has operated since 1995, the
prolongation of the base (until 2046), a cooperation agreement for
constructing new nuclear plants and nuclear blocks, an agreement on
open trade offices in both countries, a memorandum on mutual
understanding in cooperation in establishing certified service centers
and maintenance centers for arms and military engineering.
