Levan Silagava, the head of the Association of Wheat and Cereal Product Makers of Georgia, said that Georgia was planning to stop purchasing wheat in Russia and buy it in Kazakhstan instead. He reminded that two ships with grain had not been able to enter Georgia because of restrictions set by Russia, Interfax reports.
The official compared the situation with developments about 8 years ago when Russia had banned imports of Georgian wine and mineral water, except this time Russia was causing problems for its own manufacturers.
