The executive director of the British oil company BP, Robert Dudley,
who headed the Russian-British company TNK-BP in 2003-2008, will
replace Tony Hayward as chief, RIA Novosti reports.
Hayward was extensively criticized after an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
In September, the damage caused by the BP spill reached $8 billion.
Dudley said that the total sum of compensation to people and companies
would not exceed $20 billion.
