"Gruzstat" has published recently data on the supply of cars from Georgia to Azerbaijan in January-November 2014. According to statistics, 16.8 thousand Georgian cars were imported into the Republic of Azerbaijan, worth 252.3 million dollars.
According to Trend, these figures show a substantial reduction in car exports from Georgia to Azerbaijan: 31.8% in revenue and 59.2% in the number of cars (compared with January-November 2013, when the same figures were 41.16 thousand cars worth 369.82 million dollars).
The current fall in exports is due to the transition of Azerbaijan to the Euro-4 environmental standard, which severely restricts imports of used cars that make up the lion's share of the automobile trade between the two countries.
