Major Western companies close in Iran

Four major energy companies are closing their offices in Iran due to
economic sanctions introduced by the USA against Tehran, a spokesman
for the US State Department said, the BBC reports.


The companies include Royal Dutch Shell, French Total, Norwegian
Statoil and Italian ENI.


Swiss company Naftiran Intertrade Co has decided to stay in Iran.
