Kazakhstan's national debt has increased by almost a third

The national debt of the Republic of Kazakhstan on December 31, 2014 reached 5.614 trillion, having increased from January 1 of the previous year by 27.6%, according to the website of the Ministry of Finance.

 

The government debt at 31 December amounted to 5.5553 trillion tenge: 4178 billion tenge of domestic debt and 1377.2 billion tenge of external debt, the debt of the National Bank of Kazakhstan - 43.7 billion, the debt of local executive bodies - 15.5 billion tenge, News.nur.kz reports.

 

On January 1, 2014 the national debt of Kazakhstan was 4.4 trillion tenge. The total debt of the government of Kazakhstan was 4.3809 trillion tenge, including external debt - 766.4 billion tenge, domestic debt - 3614.6 billion tenge, the debt of the National Bank - 3.6 billion tenge, the debt of local executive bodies of Kazakhstan - 15.5 billion tenge. For comparison, on January 1, 2009 the national debt of Kazakhstan was 1.33 trillion tenge.
