The results in 2014 of inflation in Ukraine was a record in 14 years (24.9%). At the same time, in December 2014, it accelerated to 3%, the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine reports.
The previous most significant inflation was observed in Ukraine in 2000 (25.8%), Poltavareview reports. As previously reported, in November inflation slowed to 1.9% compared to 2.4% in October 2014.
According to analysts, in December prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 4%. Unfair increases were seen in the prices for vegetables (14.4%) and cereals (25.7%).
Rising prices for rice, eggs, butter, fish, milk and dairy products, soft drinks, beef and fruit ranged from 3 to 9.8%. At the same time, the price of sugar fell by 2.6%
