Iran puts two phases of South Pars into operation

Iran has put into operation the 15th and 16th out of 28 plots of world's largest gas field "South Pars" in the Persian Gulf, said the commander of the construction and reconstruction unit of the military-industrial complex corporation 'Khatam al-Anbiya', belonging to the elite Iranian military unit 'The Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution", Brigadier-General Ebadollah Abdollahi.

 

"The project has been implemented with 100% Iranian engineering, construction and operation efforts, while world majors such as Statoil, Shell, Total and Hyundai have left their land because of the economic sanctions," TASS quoted him.

 

According to the general, with the operation of this project over 50 million cubic meters of gas will be injected into the nationwide network for household and industrial purposes, 2,600 tons of ethane gas for petrochemical feeding, 3,250 tons of liquefied gas for export and 80 thousand barrels of gas condensates for exports on a daily basis.
