Oil becomes more expensive on world markets

Oil prices have continued to rise on world markets. Brent crude has risen to $51.13 per barrel on London's ICE as of 9:27.

Yesterday trading closed at $50.96 a barrel. The price of WTI reached $49.12 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Yesterday it was $48.79. The rise in prices is associated with the news that two major US oil companies - Helmerich & Payne Inc. and Pioneer Energy Services Corp - decided to break several contracts.

They will have to pay a penalty for this, but businessmen find this option more acceptable than to carry out unprofitable work in the context of a decrease in oil's value, Interfax reports.
