Iran plans to build factories in Tajikistan.
Iranian Energy Minister Majid Namdz is on a visit to Dushanbe to
attend the eighth session of the joint Iranian-Tajik commission for
trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation and the meeting of
Ministers of Energy and Petroleum of the participating countries of
the Organization of Economic Cooperation Organization. In an interview
to IRNA after the meeting with the Minister of Energy and Industry of
Tajikistan, Sherali Gul, he said that the Iranian and Tajik sides
negotiated on construction of several industrial enterprises in
Tajikistan by Iranian companies, reports Iran News.
During the meeting the Iranian and Tajik ministers exchanged views on
the trilateral cooperation between Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
"In close collaboration with each other, we can supply electricity
from Tajikistan to Afghanistan and other countries in the region,"
Majid Namdz said.
