Turkey and Russia have not settled gas prices

Turkish Minister for Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz told journalists in Istanbul today that disputes around gas prices had not been settled for 2015. In his words, low oil prices are a disadvantage for Turkey in negotiations with Gazprom and may result in a third round of talks, RIA Novosti reports.

The minister added that gas consumption had increased to two billion cubic meters in the last 10 days due to cold weather. Higher consumption was registered in Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa, Eskisehir and Kocaeli.
