The Federal Migration Service on Thursday started the process of issuing a new type of patents to foreign nationals, which entitles them to work for individuals and legal entities.
"The issuance of the first patent will be held in the united migration center of the Moscow region, where foreign nationals can take a medical examination, fingerprinting, and pass a comprehensive exam on the Russian language, the legal framework and history of Russia," Interfax quotes the press–service of the Federal Migration Service.
The department also noted that the medical examination, fingerprinting and exam are prerequisites for registration of a patent.
The FMS reminded that this year changes in Russian migration law came into effect - instead of work permits for employment and patents for individuals, a single document appeared - a labor patent.
