Shamkir Agropark signs cooperation agreement with European companies

 

Shamkir Agropark has signed memorandums of understanding with Italy’s Unitec and Isolcell, France’s Maf Roda and Turkey’s Beta today. The documents were signed at a business forum within the framework of a presentation of the agropark in the Shamkir District, organized by the Azerbaijan National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support of the Ministry for Economy and Industry and executives of the Shamkir District, Trend reports.Shamkir Agropark Director Zafar Nowruzov noted that the agropark had modern greenhouses, intensive gardening facilities, factories for processing of fruits and vegetables, a factory for production of canned food, a logistical center, an agro service center, a freezer warehouse, green markets and farm stores, a science and innovation center, a hotel and other infrastructure.Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev founded the agropark on November 15, 2014.Shirzad Abdullayev, the executive director of the Azerbaijan National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support, believes that more agroparks could be built, volumes of exports increased, efficiency improved, new workplaces opened.The executive director added that opening of new enterprises will be funded by businessmen and state loans. Agroparks were being developed in other districts of the country, he concluded.
