During the week of January 13 to 19, inflation has amounted to 0.7% since the beginning of the month, consumer prices have risen by 1.5%, while annual inflation for January 19 amounts to 12.5%. Relevant materials were published by Rosstat.
By January 19th 2015, consumer prices rose by 0.4%, and in general, for January 2015, inflation reached 0.6%.
Rice, according to Rosstat, has gone up by 2.8%, frozen fish, sunflower oil, margarine, cheese, wheat, noodles and tea are up 1.4-2.1%. Prices for fruits and vegetables on average have increased by 4.6%, including cabbages - 9.5%, onions, carrots, cucumbers and tomatoes - 6-8.3%.
The Russian Ministry of Economic Development published a previous forecast that inflation would reach its peak in March-April, when it could be at the level of 15-17% per annum.
